Dr. Gerald Gonzenbach is the Chief Executive Officer for Octane Holding Ltd., based in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

Gerald has more than 18 years experience in international corporate finance, asset management and structured finance. He started his career at UBS where he held various positions before becoming Managing Director and Country Head of UBS, Southern Africa. In 1998 he moved to Genbel Securities Ltd. to become Chief International Officer before becoming the Chief Financial Officer of Sanlam Financial Services.

Gerald received his Masters degree and PhD in Law from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, as well as an MBA from the University of Virginia, USA.

Duncan Theron is the Chief Investment Officer of Octane, based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Duncan started his career at Standard Corporate & Merchant Bank in their Treasury Division, before moving to Alexander Forbes Asset Consultants where he was a Director and Head of Investment Manager Research. He then joined RisCura Risk Managers as Director and Head of Manager Research. Duncan has been involved in the South African investment industry for more than 13 years and has consulted to most of the largest pension funds in South Africa.

Duncan received his BCom (Hons) Investments from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. In addition, he holds the South African Institute of Financial Markets qualification, a Financial Markets Diploma from the University of Johannesburg and a Mathematical Modeling of Derivatives diploma from UNISA. He has also completed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and level 1 of Certified Hedge Fund Professional (CHP) program.
